How do we work? Let us explain this using the example of a tailor shop.
Standard tailoring is cheap, but often fits badly, tailor-made suits are noble, but often expensive.
For us, consulting means that we first have to get to know you and understand your problem before we propose a solution. Every good solution (even if it should be a standard solution) requires at least a short comparison of possible alternatives. In our experience, the best solutions can only be developed together. Once concrete measures for successful implementation have been determined, the trick is to limit yourself to the essential and feasible. This is what we know how to do.
However, we certainly do not have to reinvent the wheel - our extensive "toolbox" includes, among other things, a collection of proven work templates and a server with UPB's "consulting lexicon", where we have stored everything we think is worth knowing (theory and practical experience) about our individual areas of expertise.
We also have our own UPB quality standard. It is compatible with the ISO 9000 standard, but adapted to our purposes.

We can offer you tailor-made clothing, so to speak, and if you wish, we can also provide tailor-made clothing (if you wish to have a completely individual solution). Only: We do not supply badly fitting ready-made suits.
Consulting services usually involve three steps.
1. the analysis of the actual situation in order to uncover potential for improvement,
2. advice in the narrower sense, i.e. the development of proposed solutions (the so-called
target concept) and
3. the (consultative) implementation of the solutions.
All three steps can be commissioned individually or together.
How much external support you need depends on how much experience you have with the issues and how many of your own resources you can provide. Occasionally, in the case of sensitive issues, the aspect of how much neutrality and independence are required is also added. We have named the three elements as follows:
