Our Consulting Services.

Our consulting services have a history of more than twenty years (see, among others, "about UPB"), so that we can offer them to you in business fluent English and in an international environment. As UPB we are mainly active in the German-speaking countries, but our consultants have also gained experience in the USA, Great Britain, Sweden and other countries.

But now we would like to explain the three elements of our consulting services in more detail below.

Audits

Audits, as we understand them, serve to quickly and purposefully uncover potential for improvement. We see it as the shortest and most systematic form of the usual analysis of the current situation, which we use when the exact focus of the issues is not yet clear but it is clear that improvements are necessary or possible.

In our audits, we do not use lengthy descriptions of the current situation with extensive flowcharts, but instead first work out the main points of your improvement potential in a workshop with you, which we then go into in more detail in a number of interviews.

This allows us to systematically determine, together with you, which approaches, including alternatives, are most sensible. Subsequently, we evaluate the optimization potentials found and suggest feasible improvement measures for each topic.

In the event that little or no documentation is available, we can also create process overviews or manuals for you on request, from which the essential processes can be clearly seen. However, if undocumented (old) processes are in great need of revision, it is advisable to present them more clearly in a future target state.

Advisory

In the consultation we then discuss the concrete steps and task contents for the development of the detailed solutions, taking into account scope, feasibility and benefit. In doing so, we limit ourselves to the essentials. We define clearly defined types of results with you, so that both sides have the same understanding of the goals and the approach. Only then do we go into the project work together with you.
In workshops, team interviews and one-on-one meetings, we work out suitable individual solutions with you. Due to our IT experience we can create the technical concepts in a DV-compliant way.

We prepare the results of the technical work systematically and comprehensibly and of course coordinate them with you before they are released for further use.

If you wish, we will accompany the implementation.

(Accompaniment of the) implementation

During implementation, technical concept, IT and project management are equally important. We know a lot about IT and are well versed in project work, especially project management.

There are several possibilities to "accompany" the implementation:

• We support you in working together with IT in technical detail questions, in planning and carrying out the tests and thus help you with quality assurance.
• We advise you on setting up the project structure and planning the project. Good project planning is the cornerstone for later success.
• You carry out the project on your own and involve us if your project gets "out of hand" but you can't see what the reason is. Based on our many years of experience, we identify the causes and have been able to save many a wrongly started project.
• We check the results of the project against the technical concept. We are independent and can assess with manageable effort whether the implemented project results have the desired quality.
